happy day!
If you were looking for a mushy Mother's Day post, this ain't it.
Yeah, yeah, I love my mom, and she loves me, and I love my daughter, and she loves me, yada yada, never knew my heart could be so full, yada yada, fully appreciated my mother only when I became one, yada yada...
But more importantly, where is my gift?
I've dropped enough hints, subtle and otherwise, for a whole month, so I'm sure the message was loud and clear!
Sleep late, breakfast in bed, cuddles and cards. Lovely. WHERE IS MY GIFT? |
Ahhhhh, here it is.... WEEEEE!
It's even prettier than I imagined :) |
Lunch outside? Sure... Ohhh, what a nice surprise!! One more quick shot, from a different angle |
Douggy, in his usual sun-coma/raptured state. |
She's too fast for me... always was. |
Ahh, a slower subject... WAIT, we have snails???? |
I mean, come on! If it does this with an orange, the possibilities are ENDLESS! (Gawd, I love this camera!)
Will come back to this in a bit, right now I'm too psyched for instructions |
Okay, okay, I'll go shoot something else. And, for the record, I'm NOT demented (not yet) |
Et tu, Brutus? Fine! |
I believe this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship...
So, how was your Mother's Day? What did you give/get?

Very nice! Have fun with it!
Thats great !:) Stay Blessed dear
Aw, how nice. I got nothing. Not even a card. Oh wait, my youngest finally gave me a card at 9:00pm she made on the computer. And they kept looking to me to make dinner plans. *sigh*
It's a brand new world, Dawn, brand new world I tell ya :)
Thank you M.A. and likewise :)
I've trained them well, Madge. It's never too late :)
and you call ME the nerdo. fine, i'll let you take pictures of me i guess
Nerdo= highest compliment in my book. THE. HIGHEST.
I'll take it. And I'll take the pictures :)
That is all kinds of Awesome! A wonderful present!
Aww man, I'm so happy you got it! You are going to love it, although I can tell you already do. My instruction manual lives on my bed stand, but I can honestly say I haven't read it. haha.
Love you gf! Happy mothers day!
There is nothing better than a nice camera when you are a blogger. We still take to the iphone when eating out though!

That is such a good present and it works too. LOL. Those are some great pictures that it takes. The cats did not come up with a present for Mother's day but that is all right. We understand. Take care.
I saw your gift and had to suppress a Homer drool
Hahaha, the maybe the cats needed a nudge? I know I gave plenty to get this.
Your pics are awesome Zoelee, had no idea you used an iphone. How come mine doesn't do that? Will need to investigate...
deja vu :)
Very kind of you to say, Karen, but I am a complete amateur and not a good one (but I'm working on it). Can't wait to see you in action in NY so I can pick up a few pointers :)
Thanks Darcie, it's exactly what I wanted! How did he know that? LOL
Norman (the old poop) doesn't usually get gifts right, but he hit this one out of the ballpark. Believe me, I'm drooling too :)
Oh, what fun! I am so jealous. I can't wait to see all of the wonder that comes from your new toy.
Thanks Lou, me too :)
Yay for you. You got your camera. So happy for you... can't wait to see all the pictures you will share. Already love the ones that are in this post!!! :)
Weee! Susi, I've started taking some pics for your instagram meme. Now to learn how to upload to instragram.... :)
Oh you lucky dog you!! I sorta kinda got to sleep in...and hubby made a great breakfast. but gifts were of the slightly still sticky, tacky dripping glue variety (which of course, melts me heart always) and not the all "look, so shiny" variety.
clearly I need to polish up my husband whisperer technique some more.
Great pictures!! Enjoy... I love Emily's expression :-)
What a great post and great gift... I want one!!!!
I didn't get anything. I suppose that happens when all the chicks have flown the coop!
Woof woof :) [and yes Rory, you do need to hone that technique, just like everything else, practice makes perfect]
I know, Hilary, it was priceless.
You have to put it out there, Brenda. I've found that if I don't heavily hint at what I want, I get (if anything) kitchen/cooking stuff-- which I love, usually, but wanted this instead, this year.
Alex takes them and then uses all sorts of apps to edit them... It's beyond me! :)
Damnit! This is so way better than dirt! I love that camera. I covet it. Damnit! Now I'm a sinner! Well I may as well give up and follow you. Hey. I can show my hubby pictures from your camera! Guilt, the sly neighbour of the covet!
Hahaha, I can safely say I would not covet dirt as a present :)
I blame Karen, she started it!
LOVELY! I can't wait to see all the photos! I got a Starbucks card and a certificate for a mani/pedi. See... it only took 2 months of them hearing "man, my heels are a MESS. I sure could use a pedicure" for them to get the hint. LOL
That's the spirit, Beckey. Done like a true pro -- who appreciates that subtle hints may just be way too subtle for some. Enjoy the mani-pedi :)
Put me down for a lesson, I definitely need one!
Awesome camera! OMG, that look on Emily's face is PRICELESS!!
I know right? She has a very expressive face... if I didn't know about the pitfalls, I'd recommend acting as a very appropriate career for her.
