WW: when I die, I wanna come back as a squirrel

Not quite wordless, today :)

(click to biggify)
They never have to clean or wash things, including themselves.

They don't pay mortgage, or any bills really.

They eat whatever they find, no need for elaborate recipes.

But mainly, because they spend more time in my backyard than me.

Stop looking at me like that, you little fucker,

I LIVE HERE!!!

What would you want to come back as? Why?

Don't forget to answer before hopping on.
Oh, and use the linky-winky :)
But wash your hands afterwards, a'ight?

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Wordless Wednesday!

Darcie, if squirrels carried purses, my eternity would be complete :)

I'd come back as something that scares squirrels away!! lil buggers dug up and ate all my lilies and tulips! between those little delicacies and the fact that they always dump the bird feeder onto the ground - dem critters sure have it made in my backyard!

Megan you make a squirrels life sound good :-)

Okay, there's 3 things wrong with this scenario:
1) You don't want to work that hard in your next life sweetie, the next one is supposed to be BETTER than this one.
2) Wouldn't you rather be the lily eater than the lily planter-and-replanter?
3) There is no freaking way you could scare someone away, not in the next life and not in the ones after that.
I might be bribed into changing my answer to a dog, if the price was right :)

Incidentally, we cut down a whole tree to get rid of the buggers, no go though (well, the tree was already dying, but still).

LOL Do I see a little dray forming in our future? Maybe I should stop shopping around for mini purses...

Cute! Can I be a squirrel and live in your beautiful oasis?

While you make it sound so lovely, I don't think I would want to come back as a squirrel... A dog or cat in a loving family that is more my style...

I could spend all day watching squirrels! I had an acrobatic squirrel that used to do the most fascinating things to get to our bird feeder back in Kansas. If I could choose, I would come back as a kitten. I love cats so much! Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday!

I'd come back as a shih tzu with a family that loves me as much as I love them! :) (but i wouldn't eat poop like most of them do)

Hahaha, good answer :)

I didn't intend to make it sound lovely, I hate those buggers: they look at me funny when I go out to MY own backyard.

I can totally see you as a cat, Hilary :)

Thank you Jhona and welcome :)

I don't know if it's the same ones but I have a pair of them who chase each other up and down the oak tree in my yard. It's the same chase, every day, at exactly the same time. It's like deja-vu at its best.

I know, Karen, how can such a cute thing do something so gross? I'm in denial when it comes to my dog licking his own butt...

These are nice shots, Megan. You're really breaking in the new camera, aren't you?

A squirrel sounds good to us. They do have a good life. Or a cat in a good home. Don't want to be homeless. Great pictures. Have a great day.

Any pet in a good home would do, right Marg, though I can see how you might be partial to cats. Thanks for the visit, happy WW!

I know, right? He (I dunno why I'm assuming it's a he) poops all over the place, scares the bejeezus outta my dog, then gives ME the evil eye? The NERVE! LOL

Thanks for the visit Rochelle, your photos were gorgeous!

A cat - hands down a house cat with backyard/neighborhood privileges and tuna and cuddles on command!

Thanks for your sweet words about my Wordless Wednesday pic <3

I would definitely come back as a cat! But I'd want to still live with hubby and he would definitely be a doggie. :)

LOL my backyard is at your disposal :)

There are two neighborhood cats who are pretty much a permanent fixture around my house. And my daughter was definitely a cat in her previous life -- food and cuddles on command, I'm well versed in those :)

I'm still thinking about how you got that ripple shot, Kate. There were some very nice photos on this hop but yours? Truly, wow!

This was actually tough, first thoughts are either cat or dog right they live such a charmed life in our homes that have them but what about the beloved pet that their owners die and now are in a shelter and part of those horrid sad commercials that make us all cry??? I think to come back would be too much I just can't think of one single perfect scenario that would make me want to come back to anything but what I have now!!!
I hate squirrels so many mini devils in disguise. Love your pictures though.

It is awesome, Janice, that you appreciate your life so much that you'd want to come back to it. And I'm with you about neglected pets, breaks my heart EVERY time.

I call squirrels rats with cute tails. Thanks for the visit :)

I'd like to come back as a bimbo. Yeah! All boobs and brainlessness and vast amounts of confidence over-ruling THOUGHT. Ah...

Boy, I hadn't ever given it much thought.

Maybe as Abraham Lincoln, in the past, of course. Except for that whole being shot and killed thing, he did some great stuff for moving the US forward.

Not sure if I'd want to be an animal of any kind. Too much potential for bad things to happen.

At 5/17/12, 3:51 PM , Blogger Unknown said...

I was being facetious with the squirrels, because they do rule my backyard and look at me like I'M the one trespassing.

I don't think I would ever want to be president, either. Except for the having your own plane thing, the rest of the "living in a fishbowl" business will not work for me. Unless by then, streaking in the rose garden will the norm and not the exception :)

What do you mean you will come BACK as? LOL Karen, just KIDDING!

I can get behind the vast amounts of confidence thingie but I'm not sure I could carry the sizable boobs that that would entail.

I'd love to come back as either my cat or one of the dogs... they have t good. :)
